Welcome to our delightful three bedroomed apartment with stunning views of lake Como, on the Greenway pathway in Colonno - 45 minutes from Milan and its two airports, Malpensa and Linate.
THE APARTMENT
Our apartment has all the amenities you require to ensure your holiday in Como is as comfortable as any hotel stay but offering you privacy and flexibility. The apartment is situated on the first floor with its own front door through two secure gates; parking is available off-street and there is also a secure garage, and our own laundry facility.
FIRST FLOOR
The first floor of the apartment offers a comfortable living space with fully equipped kitchen, and dining area, in which to relax after a long day and enjoy the sunset and uninterrupted views of the lake from our terrace. There is also a fully equipped bathroom on the ground floor and a bunkroom sleeping 3 people.
BALCONY
The apartment boasts a large balcony off the living room with outside table and chairs with amazing views over the lake which constantly change with the seasons... each one being breathtaking... you can lose hours out there and it will never cease to amaze you. You simply need to see it with you own eyes.
SECOND FLOOR
The second has two bedrooms, the master bedroom with king size bed being furnished to a very high standard with ample wardrobe space - and stunning views of the lake. The twin bedroom is again furnished to a very high standard and has views overlooking the pool.
HEATED POOL
We have a large heated swimming pool with a sun terrace. It's bathed in the sunshine all day long and loungers are available for our guests. The main bedrooms and apartment balcony overlook the pool.
QUAINT COLONNO
To get to the lakeside you walk through the lovely historic hamlet of Colonno, away from traffic. The village offers a small store for daily essentials, 2 bars and an amazing family-run trattoria specialising in fish and meat, with a lakeside terrace, offering great value for money.
THE LOCAL AREA
The apartment enjoys the close proximity to the famous L’Isola Comacina, Villa Balbianello, Villa Carlotta and the famous golden triangle resort town of Menaggio! A fast car and passenger ferry service from Cadenabbia is also conveniently on hand to take visitors easily across the lake to explore the beautiful resort towns of Bellagio and Varenna.With Argegno a 5 mins drive away you will find a huge number of excellent places to eat and drink all which we send you details of prior to your trip so you can make any necessary reservations! Local boat services offer continuous trips back and forth around the lake.
SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND BARS
Restaurants, bars and shops can be found three minutes away in the lovely lakeside village of Argegno, or further afield by car, ferry or water taxi. Bellagio is famous for it's variety of shops and restaurants and is a popular destination for visitors.
ARGEGNO
Evenings and weekends the Piazza in Argegno is buzzing with life, both local and tourists – in addition to the restaurant, there are two lovely wine bars, offering free nibbles at aperitivo time (5-7pm every day). Some of the best restaurants in the area are huddled around the main Piazza (Italians come from Milan at the weekends, they are so good – so make sure you book) – La Piazetta, La Barchetta, Da Emilio and La Corte, to name a few.
ACTIVITIES
Other than eating, drinking and shopping, Lake Como offers a host of activities – windsurfing, sailing, water skiing, speed boat hire, cycling, mountain biking, paragliding, historic houses and botanical gardens. George Clooney's house is about 10 minutes away and the Villa D'Este Hotel about 15 minutes away so there's always something to do...
